NET NEURO EMOTIONAL TECHNIQUE

Just as ‘Pavlov’s dog’ linked the sound of a ringing bell (trigger) with being fed, events and situations in our life can be linked (triggers) with emotions and feelings (positive or negative).

NET can be the exact tool needed to help with the following:

  • Dealing with self-sabotage
  • Emotional challenges
  • Goal achievement issues
  • Phobias and fears
  • Negative thought patterns

“You are able to store episodic memories even when emotional arousal is not a component of an incident.

You typically have few explicit memories of the first 3 or 5 years of your life. Sigmund Freud inaccurately referred to this phenomenon asinfantile amnesia. However, you haven’t forgotten or repressed the memories, rather, the memories are not conscious, and they are available to your consciousness only as an emotional reaction. John B. Arden, Ph.D “Rewire your Brain”

If this is an unfavourable reaction, (for example -irrational fear of something , self sabotage patterns, performance anxiety) then NET maybe just the solution.

Applied Kinesiology (AK muscle testing) is used to assess and alleviate internal ‘blocks’ that are barriers to your health and success. It is quick, painless, usually uplifting, and incredibly effective for all ages.

NET is only available to study by those with the equivalent of a 4 year degree in a health field.  NET would be the most profound health tool I use.  I have studied this extensively being a level II Certification, and am amazed on a daily basis with the unbelievable results which enable my patients  to fully reach their potential.

Children respond very quickly to NET – they find it fun and freeing and I particularly LOVE this part of my work.  If we can clear ‘unconscious blocks’ at a young age then moving happily through life is that much easier!

When I told my seven year old son we were off to see Paddy to help him feel happier about sleeping in his bed, and when his baby teeth were falling out he asked what she would do.  I said Paddy would ask some questions and press a couple of fingers on your body.  He asked if it would hurt – no not at all.  At his first session (of 3) he was very intrigued by Paddy’s questions and found holding a thought whilst breathing good.  He said he came out feeling very happy.  For the next week he asked everyday when he was going back to see Paddy “Its fun seeing Paddy” .  After just a couple of session his whole attitude to loosing teeth had gone from fear, upset and confusion to laughing and joking about having wobbly teeth and debating the best way to get them out!  The work Paddy does with N.E.T. quickly finds the underlying cause of a problem without intrusive questioning and instantly frees anxiety around situations. I would highly recommend N.E.T. with Paddy for children as a fast effective way of solving childhood anxieties – I am particularly thankful for the full night sleeps we are all enjoying.

 Performance Anxiety

I recently attended a 5 day exercise based course and unexpectedly was required to stand in front of the class and run the course participants through a particular exercise.

For a multitude of deep seated reasons I ended up with what I thought of as ‘stage fright’.  This impacted on how I felt in the class for the remainder of the day, my concentration and my belief in how I could possibly learn everything, let alone perform in a practical exam on day five!

Because I have had success with NET previously I contacted Paddy desperate for an appointment before the weekend where I would be completing the practical exam.   Thankfully Paddy was able to accommodate me for a session of NET.

Because of this treatment, together with the homeopathic remedies recommended, I felt more in control, far less anxious and was successful in the exam!

My heartfelt thanks to Paddy for her helping me get back in control of the situation.

Fear of flying

“Following a panic attack while travelling overseas, I developed a fear of flying. A friend recommenced Paddy, and after just a couple of sessions of N.E.T I started to gain some confidence in facing my fear of flying. I travelled to Australia by myself and had no problems at all. I have since travelled to the UK and Asia a couple of times with my work. Paddy also helped me with a ‘kit’ to use if I needed it – I didn’t but still take it with me…just in case.”

Irrational Anger

“I was at my wits end. I started getting angry at two people I hardly knew. They seemed very nice, but whenever I was in the same room as them I would have to force myself not to be rude to them. This was most unusual for me as I a normally so mild mannered. I tried a variety of personal strategies to resolve my irrational anger: creative visualisation, writing down the issue and my feelings in a diary, avoiding the person(s) – nothing worked and my anger didn’t lessen.   Because no argument or event had happened between myself and them, coupled with the fact that my emotional response was at fault i.e. it was my issue and no-one elses, I concluded that the situation was just a trigger from my past that I couldn’t discharge.

1-2 sessions of N.E.T. painlessly brought about an immediate solution. The next week when I met these people I was not concerned, I was not angry, it was as if it didn’t matter whether they were in the room or not. My emotions were balanced+ the trigger removed/resolved; through N.E.T. Thank you Paddy. You not only fix problems, you change lives.”

Binge eating

I know we only had 2 sessions together but it feels as though my life has changed immeasurably since the time I spent with you in regards to NET.

Binge eating and many other annoying little habits that had formed over my lifetime, had been addressed in a separate session, and again, I really don’t understand it, but whatever you did Paddy, I don’t know, I haven’t been able to control this for almost 20 odd years and yet you found the root of the source all over again without suggestive prompts etc. I am amazed and in control again. Wow! 5kgs of weight has gone in 2 weeks without even realising. I am a super fit woman but have struggled with binging once a week usually.. however I have changed nothing and yet felt no need to binge since my session with Paddy and it’s been a month! Yay!

How Does NET Work?

NET is based on the physiological foundations of stress-related responses. As discovered in the late 1970s, emotional responses are composed of neuropeptides (amino acid chains) and their receptors, which lie on neurons and other cells of remote tissues in the body. The neuropeptides are ejected from the neuron and carry the encoded “information” to other sites within the body. These neuropeptides are in a category of neurochemicals known as Information Substances (IS). ISs are released at times of stress-related arousal and become attached to remotely-positioned neuroreceptors.

Significantly, this process also happens when a person recalls to memory an event in which a stress originally occurred. This is a key factor in the NET treatment. Thus, the physiological status of the body is emotionally replicating a similar physiological state that was found in the original conditioning event by the process of remembering.

Here’s a classic example of how a physiological response can be associated with a memory: Visualize a lemon . . . go ahead . . . try it. Now, think about cutting into that lemon — smell the lemony scent and see the juice running down the sides of the lemon. Now, squeeze some of the lemon’s juice into your mouth and take a big bite of the lemon. Is your mouth watering? If you’re like most people, it is, and what you’re experiencing is a physiological response to the memory of a lemon. The body’s response to stress works in a similar way.

The conditioning process is based on the principles of the great physiologist Pavlov, who demonstrated that an organism can be physiologically stimulated by a previously ineffective stimulus. For example, a bell normally does not stimulate salivary secretion. However, a bell may stimulate salivary secretion if the animal has been conditioned by associating the sound of a bell with the sight or smell of meat.

Also, it is normal that after a time of having the bell ring with no food association, the secretion of saliva (a physiological process) will stop. This is known as extinction. If the physiology of the animal is out of balance at the time of conditioning, the normal process of extinction may not take place, thus allowing for recurrent stimulation and an aberrant physiology. The physiology of the mind-body dynamic can work in a similar way. In most cases an emotional response to a given stimulus is normal and healthy. However, there can be instances where this normal emotional response fails to complete its full cycle (extinction does not take place), and then we can have an aberrant response to a future similar stimulus. In NET we call these aberrations Neuro Emotional Complex (NECs).
